Astrological Trends September 2010:

· Chiron (the planetoid which deals with self-care) continues to conjoin Neptune (the planet of spirituality and illusions/misperceptions). The Chiron/ Neptune conjunction will continue until March 2012. There are a lot of economic difficulties we are dealing with, and because of the Chiron /Neptune influence anything we do will be flawed because we do not and will not fully understand the extent of the problems and how to deal with them. Under this influence there is big potential that we will make very bad decisions because we will not understand how detrimental these decisions are to our well being until it is too late. It is interesting that we saw a lot of chaos associated with the financial institutions (Lehman Brothers going into bankruptcy and Merrill Lynch is being bought by Bank of America), and other sectors of the economy (the auto industry). Bailout packages were passed by Congress to help the financial institutions, the Big Three Automobile Manufacturers, and a massive economic stimulus package was also passed through Congress. Also, there was the “Cash for Clunkers” program that benefited the foreign manufacturers more that the US manufacturers. Because of the Neptune influence people are reacting out of fear instead of evaluating the situation to determine exactly what really needs to be done. We were under a Jupiter influence when these programs were implemented with helped us to feel a great deal of optimism that this is what we needed to do; however, in the end all these massive bailout and stimulus packages will end up pushing us into a deeper recession/depression, and it will last longer than it could have if we were more prudent. Another example of this is that right now we are hearing that the economy is coming back, and the stock market is higher than it has been for awhile; however, the Greek economy had to be bailed out to avoid worldwide economic difficulties, and the unemployment rate is the highest it has been in this depression.

· Transiting Saturn (the planet of responsibility, tradition, structures, and good old fashioned hard work) continues to oppose Uranus (the planet of groups, independence, innovation, electricity, and revolution) until September 12 and square Pluto (the planet of transformation, rebirth, regeneration, death, destruction, and all issues that we don’t like looking at) until October 1, and Uranus continues to square Pluto until October 8; however, Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto will continue to aspect each other in T-Square configuration off and on until July 2011. With the Pluto influence we will have to face flaws coming to the surface resulting from decisions made in the past, and the Uranus influence signals a breakdown of established structures. Also Saturn continues to Quincunx Neptune until August 30 which will confuse us to the point that we really don’t understand what is going on. Most of the problems with the financial institutions today came from decisions that seemed like good ideas at the time, and helped to create a boom in our economy for awhile; however, today we facing the flaws of those decisions. Adding to that a revolutionizing of our established structure will be causing a great deal of chaos in our lives, and with the Neptune influence we will have no idea what is going on. Under these influences we will continue to see a deterioration of our established structures including the economic systems. Also, because of the oil spills in the Gulf of Mexico, China, and Michigan the Petroleum industry (which is ruled by both Neptune and Pluto) is being revolutionized due to these sudden disasters (Uranus square Pluto), and is going through a restructuring (Saturn Inconjunct Neptune and square Pluto). We see this with the congressional investigation into the flaws with the procedures and the designs used in the petroleum industry, especially with offshore drilling.

· Jupiter will continue to oppose Saturn until September 12, and conjoin Uranus until February 2011. In the areas of religion, religious organizations, our philosophical beliefs, and in our ability to expand and grow (Jupiter) we will feel restriction and we will have to take responsibility our actions (Saturn), and there will be a revolutionizing influence (Uranus). We will probably experience some of our religious institutions having to take responsibility for past actions forcing them to change. Also, we will experience despair with the difficulties we are experiencing in our lives.

· Mercury will continue to be retrograde in Virgo until September 10. Under this influence there can be delays and miscommunications in all aspects of our lives. All forms of electronics (including cell phones and computers), communications (which includes verbal and written), and all forms of travel (including planes, trains, and automobiles) may be affected. You will definitely be affected by this if it aspects something in your chart especially if anything is in a mutable sign.

· Pluto will continue to conjoin the North Node (which deals with our future) and oppose the South Node (which deals with our past) until October 1. Also, Saturn continues to square the North and South Nodes. Under these influences we are being pushed to face our issues from the past in order to move forward in our lives. These are more aspects forcing us to face decisions from the past that seemed like a good idea at the time that are contributing to the difficulty’s we are facing today.

· The full moon will occur on September 23 at 5:17AM Eastern Time at 0 deg of Aries. This is usually a time of release, and being in expressive self absorbed Aries, people would have the tendency to be very expressive and self indulgent. This is a time that people will want to express themselves as they see fit and indulge themselves in hedonistic pleasures that they desire. A catch phrase for Aries is, “I want what I want, and I want it now.”
