Rhonda Stacer,  Director of the Michigan Indigo Children & Families Network  along with  Donald Madger , MA of The Brain Training Center announce three pilot programs for children & families affected by Autism, Aspergers or ADD/ADHD.

Free Programs & Services: The Three Pilot Programs will incorporate various activities and services for children affected by Autism, Aspergers or ADD/ADHD.

Program Information Overview:

Families will be able to make application to one of three pilot programs that will be provided free of charge for eligible families. The programs will incorporate neurofeedback, a form of biofeedback for the brain that has been used in a variety of ways for over 30 years, but still considered an alternative therapy,  play attention, applied behavior analyses using a form of integrated play, socialization programs & other activities.

Two programs are dedicated to children affected by Autism & Aspergers in two different age groups. 3-12 and 13-19. The other pilot program will be directed at children affected by ADD/ADHD. Details of eligibility and applications process are available at the following website: http://www.wix.com/indigochildren/pilot

Michigan Indigo Children and Families Founder Neil Carrick says: "These are the first of these kinds of programs for children in Michigan. Using these 'integrated' services for children is our first step to help families with direct services for their children affected by Autism, Aspergers & ADD/ADHD. Neurofeedback sessions alone typically cost $100 per session or more and at 20 to 30 sessions or more needed very few families have the financial ability to participate in these kinds of services for their children. Almost none of these services are available to parents without them directly paying out of pocket.  The Pilot Programs will use integrated activities, tools and services for each child that participates. ”

Michigan Indigo Children and Families Network along with other groups are providing sponsorship of the programs through various fundraisers and sponsors in the community, along with the incredible generosity of The Brain Training Center to make these programs available to Metro Detroit Families without any cost to individual families.

Alternatives become mainstream
I hope that you will play the Gregorian Chants and Native American music, particularly with the severely internalizing child.
Congrats on making the mag.
