Perfecting weight
Millions of Americans are trying to lose weight, spending billions of dollars a year on diet programs and products. People are losing 20-30 pounds in a few months and feeling good. But within a few years later, find that nearly all have regained whatever weight they lost. Why can’t millions of people who are on a diet program, lose weight permanently? Why is there so much variation in gaining or losing weight? Obesity has become a crucial health problem.
Excess amount of body
fat is obesity. As we all know obese persons are at increased risk to
many more health conditions than the normal person. They are more
prone to chronic diseases like high blood pressure, stroke, heart
diseases, diabetes, arthritis, liver diseases, gall stones, gout,
infertility, and many more. Fat is an essential component to our body
and is termed as "Med" in Ayurveda. It keeps the body well nourished,
causes sweating, stores energy, and nourishes the bone tissue.
Menopause
Women are blessed with the qualities of
Love, compassion, and affection, sensitivity to emotions, courageous,
and exalted with being in womanhood. Many traditions celebrate the day
a girl gets her monthly cycle. It is the most important aspect of a
woman’s life. This time is called the Menarche when the monthly cycle
starts. In the past a woman went through menarche near the end of her
teens, quickly became pregnant, nursed for 2 – 4 years after each
pregnancy, during which time she would normally not menstruate. Modern
women, however, go through menarche earlier (higher estrogen levels
due to artificial light, chemicals and pollution, and a richer diet),
they usually deliver only 1-2 children, which they nurse for a
relatively short time. They therefore go through many more menstrual
cycles, the hormonal swings of which can cause a wide range of
imbalances and complaints
